So, I missed 10 months...sorry! Things have been crazy around our house with the holidays and coping with Everett's new skills. We had a rough month of sleep issues but I'm happy to say we have our amazing little boy back. He never was un-amazing but when you're used to effortless hour + naps and 12 hours of uninterrupted sleep any change is tough. He was fighting naps or not napping at all and waking up at least once if not more during the night and would be inconsolable :( All because he is so busy. He was able to sit up before he figured out how to lay back down and then learned to stand and then couldn't get back down. Thankfully he's now mastered those skills and we have our big, easy sleeper back. And he's eating off a spoon!!!! He's turning into such a big boy. He wants to eat whatever we are having for breakfast, lunch and dinner which is really fun. He's also eating more of the pureed fruits and veggies I made back in October so I'm glad he's finally eating more than just Cherrios and also happy all that food won't go to waste!
My mom, and sisters Greta and Gabrielle drove out to spend the Thanksgiving holiday here in SLC. Luckily Greta and Gabrielle were able to do a little work from home so they were able to come out and spend time with us and Everett. Everyone had a great time!

The 2nd weekend in December we traveled to Iowa City to visit Bonnie and Matt Cessna and their new baby Nolan! Nolan is the most chill and calm baby ever and just adorable. He was just 5 weeks old when we visited. We had a layover in MSP so ended up going on a total of 4 flights. Everett did great on 3 out of 4 flights. We definitely were "those" people with a crying baby for a little bit but we all survived :)

-He can effortless pull himself up on the furniture and sit back down
-He's a turbo crawler. 1 second he's sitting next to you and the next second he's halfway down the hallway
-He is the busiest boy. Constantly moving and very inquisitive.
-He loves music. He knows how to push all his toys so they make music. Then waits patiently for the song to end and then pushes the button again. So funny.
-He pretty much eats all the same food as we do. If we are eating something he wants it.
-Everett's walking while holding onto the couch and he balanced for almost 10 seconds the other night unassisted.
-He hates socks...as you can tell from pretty much every photo.
-We are officially retiring his 12 month clothes. None of his shirt arms are long enough and he is pretty much wearing belly shirts. Poor boy.
-He still loves being outside even in the cold. Good thing it's Utah cold and not midwest cold.
-Everett terrorizes Cali on a daily basis. Now that he's mobile and our house is on lock down she is trapped. He chases Cali around the whole house and of course goes straight for her nose and eyes and hasn't figured out how to give gentle pets instead of yanking tufts of fur. Cali even lets him crawl on top of her every now and again. She still looks at us like we are traitors. Cali has even taken over our bed. Every night she's on the bed waiting. It's the only safe place that Everett can't get her. She's not even safe on the couch bc of his long legs and monkey arms.
-Everett loves going to daycare and hanging out with all his friends
-His little personality is shining through and he is so sweet. He gives hugs to the 2 kids that are littler than him at daycare and is such a "helper".
Thanks everyone for checking in! Cross your fingers that this massive snow storm doesn't impact our departure to Mexico tomorrow!!!
Love,
Lexi, Andy, Everett and Cali
