36 weeks and impromptu bathroom remodel

We had our big 36 week appointment today!  At this point the Dr says that if labor starts we won't try to stop it.  Andy is in Chicago next week so we just need to wait until he gets home.  We're hosting a Super Bowl party so I wouldn't be surprised if Mayhem tries to complicate that.
The appointment went well.  I've gained a total of 26 lbs to date which is right where I wanted to be.  Without going into too much detail the doctor says things are happening biologically speaking and Mayhem is positioned head down!  I was skeptical but what do I know?  She says unfortunately all this doesn't give us a time frame for going into labor but it's got to be a good sign!  She said probably at least 3 more weeks.  Still sleeping ok but having trouble turning off my brain.  I've also started the waddle :(  So sad.  I said in the beginning that I wasn't going to do the waddle!  So hard!  My hips must be shifting which makes my lower back hurt when I walk, hence the waddle.  Only 3-4 weeks left right?!
The top of the penguin quilt is done!  Really happy with how it turned out.  Now I just need to find fabric for the back so I can get it all put together!
Thanks to Pinterest I displayed all your lovely x-mas cards in a new way rather than on the fridge.  We still have room for more!

We replaced our thermostat a couple weeks ago which left us with a nice bare spot on the wall.  Of course we didn't have any leftover paint from when we moved in and when we went to get enough to touch up the wall all we could get was a gallon...and since Andy and I don't know how to relax we felt compelled to use the paint which then of course led to a full bathroom remodel.
This is our never used basement bathroom.  Gotta love the gold.  Andy ripped out the glass doors on the shower, I painted and then we tried to replace the light.  As we've found out numerous times before, the construction of our house sucks...the previous owners son was a horrible electrician and none of the wiring makes sense.  So the remodel is still in progress because 2 masters degrees are not enough to figure out how to get the light to work...hopefully we'll have completed pictures next week!

Getting even more excited and counting down the days until Baby May's arrival!  Now that he's in position I really need to wrap my head around the deliver process.  I secretly had my heart set on a C-section :)

Till next week!
Love,
Andy and Lexi

  2. A bathroom remodel sounds good especially now that problems started to move in dominoes. That haywire of electric wiring sounds serious. I hope you called a professional electrician to get things straight to avoid a more serious situation.
