5 weeks old already!

Time sure flies!  We have had lots of visitors which was so fun!

Andy's parents and sister arrived on Friday, March 1st when Everett was 3 weeks old.  We are so glad they had good weather for the long long drive.  Dad got to test out his new Audi on the highway!  Its a pretty sweet ride.

Auntie Katie with her favorite nephew :)
They got lots of snuggles and love from Everett.  Their visit wasn't nearly long enough and it was sad to see them go.
I turned 30 on March 6th!  Really hard to believe I'm 30 already.  Everett made me feel it by having his first good, long cry session.  At about 3.5 weeks Everett had what we think was his first growth spurt.  He started wanting to eat every 2.5-3 hours instead of his usual 4.  It's amazing what 1 less hour of sleep in between feedings and a lot more crying can do for your sleep deprivation...Andy and Everett took me out to our favorite sushi place for my birthday.  We then had all our friends over on Saturday to celebrate.  Andy surprised me with a custom made diamond and sapphire necklace.  It was very reminiscent of his proposal 3 years earlier.  I once again had just gotten out of the shower and had a towel on my head when he gave me this beautiful necklace.

We had a couple days alone and Everett turned 1 month!

On Friday, March 8th my sisters Greta and Gabrielle arrived for our sister weekend!  Everett is the first grandchild on my side of the family so my siblings are extra excited about him.  Raquel flew in from Baltimore on Saturday.  Everett got passed around all weekend. I think they all had a great time snuggling and spoiling Everett.  The camera was going at all times and I got sooo many cute pictures I wish I could post them all!

He finally fits into newborn onesies!
Around 4 weeks Everett found his tongue.  Sooo funny!  At 5 weeks he's found that his fist fits perfectly inside his mouth :)
Andy traveled to Chicago for training again this week.  I remember saying "oh he'll be over a month old, we'll be fine."  We definitely were fine but we missed Andy very much.  Being a single parent would be so hard.  I'm so thankful to have Andy who is so involved with Everett.
The weather here has been beautiful the last couple days! We had 3 days over 70 which was amazing.  Great to get out of the house and wear summer clothes.  Everett, Cali and I went for 2 really great walks and I got to take my new bike around the block when my fabulous friend Alyssa came over to give me a couple hours off :)

We definitely have our difficult days but the good days make it all worth while :)
This video says it all...Named, Why Everett and Mom only wear pajamas all day...

Hockey season for Andy came to an end, and the playoffs began three weeks ago.  We had a first round bye as the #3 seed, but couldn't squeak out a win against the #8 seed.  Its a double elimination set-up so we need to win our way out!  We took down the first team 7-1, and the next one 6-5.  We've got a tough one coming up this weekend, against the #1 seed that lost their first game too.  If we can beat them I think we can take the championship!

Outside of hockey, we've been patiently waiting for warmer weather so we can break out the mountain bikes!

Thanks for checking in!
Love,
Lexi, Andy, Everett and Cali
