We drove up to Point of the Mountain Flight park, which is appartently one of the premier spots in the US to hang glide or paraglide due to the ideal wind conditions. You get to wear a pretty awesome harness, as you can see.
My instructor Dan and I got the hang glider ready prior to take off. He'd done more than 1000 tandem flights, and has gone as high as 20,000 feet!
All set to go, we carried the glider over to the edge, took two steps and we were airborne! It was pretty incredible. We rode thermals up for a couple hundred feet, and chased some falcons. It was pretty incredible.
While I was flying Lexi met a nice falcon, that decided to land on her head. One of the other instructors was training the bird to fly with him and land on his arm in the air. I'm sad I didn't get a picture of her with the bird on her head.
