7 months old!

On September 7th Everett turned 7 months!

It's been a bit of a crazy month so lots of updates!
Everett is eating 3 solid meals a day and loving it!
He is definitely our child.  Loves being outside.
3 weeks ago we tried camping in the mountains.  Everett did great but we got rained out after 5 hours
Andy got to drive a Ferrari.  It was pretty cool!
My drooly baby and photo bombing puppy
Someone found his tummy.  Gotta love the monkey butt.  He mostly sleeps on his side now.
Everett's first game of Indian Poker.  We spent labor day weekend in Fort Collins and met Molly Yehl
Molly and Everett are 6 months apart.  Seriously so hard to remember him being that small!  He's a monster compared to Molly!
Hanging out at the brewery

The weather was beautiful in Fort Collins so we spent as much time outside as possible
Lots of hair and lots of personality!  He never stops moving, knows what he wants and is stubborn!
Very smiley boy unless he's tired or hungry
On Saturday we took Everett hiking.  As expected he loved it.  He finally is tall enough that he can see and loved watching Cali run around
He put his feet on the straps and bounced up and down.  He thought mom should be a horse for the hike.  He's heavy!
Blueberries!!
We have no interest in crawling but we are really into butt scooting.  He started in his pillow.  Silly little guy.
Everett loves to bounce.  A tigger in the making!
7 month stuff
- Sitting on his own
- Lots of pureed solids
- I'm making all his food.  Lots of work but saving money and fresh is best I guess!
- Everett's holding his own bottle
- Still sleeping and napping amazingly.  ~12 hours at night and 3 naps during the day
- Everett is sleeping by 6:30pm so it makes going out for dinner tough but he's so much happier when he's well rested its worth it.
- Up to 18.5 lbs and 27.2 inches.  We surpassed the 50th percentile!  56 % for weight and 65% for height
- Size 3 diapers and wearing 9 month clothes
- Still hates being on his tummy.  We just let him cry it out now.  Physically he could crawl but he just doesn't spend enough time on his tummy since he screams the whole time :(
- He's smart and he's stubborn.  He threw a tantrum the other day when I took my keys away from him.  Stopped immediately after I gave them back.  I'm a novice but it seems a bit soon to have to discipline a 7 month old...
- Now that he can sit Everett loves bath time.  He just splashes away!  No more swallowing water when we wash his hair.

I ran a 10k, Andy's been doing a bunch of triathalons, it's been a crazy hot summer, and our Civic has been in the shop twice.  The weeks fly by since we hurry home to spend 30 minutes with Everett before bedtime and then just hang out and enjoy him on the weekends.  We pretty much stay close to home since he needs to nap and won't sleep anywhere besides his crib or pack n play because that's how we've trained him.  We feel like we're slaves to the naps but it's so worth it to have a happy baby.  I know we are going to miss the naps when they're gone.

I'm sure I'm missing a bunch of stuff from August but thanks for checking in!

Love,
Lexi, Andy, Everett and Cali
